Sascha Züger is a Founding Partner at Carey Partners. He is a seasoned professional in the fiduciary sector with over three decades of experience in the industry.

Beginning his career in the late 1980s at by that time Switzerland’s largest fiduciary company, Sascha has worked with both multinational corporations and boutique firms.

For the past ten years, he was responsible for the operations of one of the world’s leading service providers, overseeing their activities first in Zurich and Zug, and then across all of Switzerland.

With an academic background in Economics, Sascha possesses extensive expertise in wealth planning and has a longstanding and proven track record in managing service providing entities.

He is fluent in German, English, Spanish and Portuguese, and proficient in French and Italian.

Maria Laura is a Founding Partner at Carey Partners. She is an attorney with more than 18 years with robust experience advising private individuals on wealth planning topics and international tax aspects of their investments abroad.

She began her career at Ernst & Young (E&Y) where she worked in legal and corporate due diligences and business reorganizations.

Following her tenure at E&Y, Maria Laura moved in 2009 to a leading Fiduciary Company in Barcelona, Spain, taking on roles such as Legal and Relationship Manager. She has accumulated experience in the implementation of international corporate structures, international tax planning, tax efficient holding structures, corporate reorganizations, tax and legal implications of cross-border M&A, as well as implementation of structures involving investment funds.

In 2013 Maria Laura joined Vistra Zurich AG in Zurich, Switzerland as Senior Relationship Manager, and after demonstrating strong leadership skills, exceeding professional achievements and targets, she was promoted to Executive Director in 2020. She was responsible for growing the customer base and acquisition of new structures, as well as, for leading the team and developing the Spanish speaking Latin American markets.

She holds a Law Degree, a Master’s Degree in International Trade, and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Languages: English (fluent) and Spanish (mother tongue).

Simon is a Founding Partner at Carey Partners, with over a decade of experience in the Fiduciary Industry.

Following a two-year tenure at a boutique law firm in Zurich, he moved to a leading global corporate and fiduciary service provider, taking on the role of a Relationship Manager for a portfolio of private wealth clients, mainly for the Brazilian market. In 2018 he became an Associate Director and took on the role of the Head of the Brazilian private client team. He was promoted to Director in 2020 and Executive Director in 2022. Simon has accumulated experience in setting up and handling complex multigenerational family structures with a strong focus on Brazil and has successfully led the team with up to 15 people. Simon has been frequently traveling to Brazil during those years, accumulating both legal and cultural experience in the Brazilian market.

Simon holds a Master of Law degree from the University of Fribourg and is an affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Simon is a passionate Basketball player. He is fluent in German, English, Portuguese and French.

Sylvia Piton is a Founding Partner at Carey Partners, bringing nearly 20 years of experience with private clients, fiduciary services, and wealth planning.

Before co-heading the Zürich Brazil Team from 2018 until 2024 in a leading global fiduciary services provider, Sylvia had a long track record both as lawyer and law consultant in renowned firms in Brazil such as Dinamarco, Rossi, Beraldo & Bedaque Lawyers.

In the fiduciary industry Sylvia specialized in complex international structures for wealth and succession planning such as holding companies, foundations and trusts, with a Masters in Law (LLM – CAS) Program in banking, finance and insurance law at Zurich University and successfully completed the STEP Certificate in International Trust Management, being a STEP member.

Sylvia obtained her Bachelor in Law in Pontificia Universidade Catolica in Sao Paulo and a Masters in Business Administration degree in Fundacao Getulio Vargas / Sao Paulo, combining practical and academic experiences in legal and business management throughout her professional career.

Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, in addition to her professional pursuits, Sylvia enjoys traveling with her family, scuba diving, and horse riding.

Piedad L. Delgado Bauhofer is a Senior Manager with a robust background in fiduciary services. She began her career at Clariden Trust Management / Clariden Bank in 1999, where she spent four years working on creation, management and administration of trust structures, especially for LatAm clients.

Following her tenure at Clariden, Piedad moved to Wintrust Ltd., Amicorp Switzerland Ltd. and Vistra Zurich Ltd., taking on roles such as Senior Manager and Senior Trust Manager. She has accumulated experience in handling complex multigenerational family structures and has contributed significantly to the implementation and consolidation of the LatAm client base.

Piedad joined Carey Group in 2024. She holds degrees such as qualified lawyer from the Universidad Externado de Colombia and various diplomas from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, from which she is a member and a mentor.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Piedad is fluent in Spanish, English and German.

Martin Elzi is a Senior Manager with a robust background in Trust and Offshore Company Management for international high net worth individuals.

He began his career in 1990 at Fides / Credit Suisse Trust, Zurich, where he spent six working years in the private client department for international high net worth individuals managing Trust and Offshore Companies.

Following his tenure at Fides, Martin moved to KPMG Private, Zurich, in 1996, taking on roles such as Senior Manager. Also, as Senior Manager, Martin moved to Treuco Treuhand-Gesellschaft, Zurich, in 2004.

Following his tenure at Treuco, Martin moved to Qubus Management Ltd. in 2011 (Qubus was sold in 2014 to Vistra Zurich AG), taking on roles such as Senior Manager.

Martin joined Carey Group in 2024, serving as Senior Manager and has accumulated experience in handling complex multigenerational family structures, and has contributed significantly to international high net worth individuals managing Trust and Offshore Companies and complex structures.

Martin holds degrees such as Swiss Fiduciary Expert, Dipl. International Trust Management STEP an executive MBA from Manchester University and is a member of Swiss Fiduciary Association (EXPERT SUISSE) and Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

In addition to his professional career, Martin is a passionate skier and traveller. He is fluent in German, English and Portuguese, and has an extensive and longstanding experience in Common Law Trusts and Private Foundations, as well as Offshore Company Law.

Dorila Piar is a Manager with a robust background in the Trust and Private Wealth Business.

She began her career at Amicorp Curacao, where she spent ten years working in the department of Trust and Private Wealth.

Following her tenure at Amicorp Curacao, Dorila Piar moved to Vistra Zurich AG in the year 2015, taking on roles initially as of a Relationship Manager and later promoted to Manager with both operational and commercial responsibilities, having her own portfolio of clients mainly in the Brazilian sector. She has accumulated experience in fiduciary structures, building and maintaining strong relationships with client as well as intermediaries and agents. Managing and handling of complex Trust structures and has contributed significantly to the implementation of various systems in the administration of fiduciary structures.

Dorila Piar joined the Carey Group in June 2024, serving as a Manager.

She holds a degree in Management, Economics and Law from the university of Groningen in the Netherlands. She also holds certificates in Trust Management – STEP Certificate in International Trust Management and various diplomas in Trust/ Fiduciary Management.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Dorila Piar is a passionate fitness exerciser. She is fluent in the Dutch, English, Spanish and Papiamentu languages.

Nicolas Müller is a Manager with 16 years of experience background in the Fiduciary market. He began his career at QUBUS Management AG, where he spent six years working, prior to the merger with Vistra Zürich AG, where he was working until end of 2023.

He has a degree in Business and Administration.

Nicolas joined Carey Partners in December 2023 and is fluent in German, English, French and Portuguese.
